What is the significance of immunity according to Ayurveda?
Ayurveda sees immunity as the strength or resistance of the body against external as well as internal factors that can negatively impact the body. According to the ancient ayurvedic scriptures like Charak Samhita, ‘Ojas’ or the resistive strength of the body comes from the proper and balanced nourishment of the tissues present in the body. The health of the tissues can be restored and retained with the help of Ayurvedic immunity booster tablets .
The vigorous tissues make the body strong and less vulnerable to internal viral or bacterial attacks as well as increase its resistance against Jnanapadudwasana, i.e. epidemic caused due to common external factors such as air, water, and soil.
Moreover, Ayurveda further divides ‘Ojas’ into two categories:
- • Innate immunity, which is present in our body since birth.
- • Acquired immunity, which is developed over time with the right kind of nutrition, exercises, and diet.
As mentioned in Ayurveda, there are some natural and remedial herbs like, Ashwagandha, Mulethi, Tulsi, and Dalchini, that can be used in the form of Ayurvedic immunity booster tablets to strengthen the immune system. These medicinal herbs not only boost our acquired immunity but also replenish and rejuvenate innate immunity.
