SHORT DESCRIPTION
The most well-known Ayurvedic herb for its immunity-boosting, aphrodisiac, and rejuvenation properties. Its name is derived from two Sanskrit words: 'Go' (cow) and 'Aakshura' (hoof), as the fruits of this plant resemble cow hooves. Gokshura has a cold potency and a sweet taste. It has the ability to provide strength and is known to balance Tridosha (Vata-Pitta-Kapha). Because of its diuretic properties, it is also used to treat urinary disorders.

PRECAUTIONS & SIDE EFFECTS
- Due to a lack of evidence on its safety, it is recommended that Gokshura be avoided during breastfeeding.
- Might result in a lower blood sugar level. As a result, it is recommended that you keep track of your blood sugar levels.
- Gokshura should be avoided during pregnancy because it may cause abortion.
- Overuse may cause, Stomach pain, nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, constipation and difficulty sleeping
HOW TO USE
- Boil 2 tsp of coarsely ground gokhru fruit in 2 cups of water, and bring it to a boil until about half of the water is gone. Add sugar (optional). Drink this concoction to aid BPH.
- Take ½ tsp of gokshur powder mixed in milk twice a day for 1-2 months to boost libido.
- Take a ¼-½ teaspoon of Gokshura Churna mixed with honey or take it with milk, twice a day after meals for its aphrodisiac action.
- Take 4-6 teaspoons of Gokshura decoction, for treating kidney problems, with honey or water twice a day after meals.
