SHORT DESCRIPTION 
 

Haritaki is generally known as Indian walnut or Indian hog plum in English and is grown from the seeds of the Terminalia chebula tree. Haritaki's numerous therapeutic effects include treating fever, cough, slowing the ageing process, improving eyesight, aiding digestion, treating piles, skin disease, and reducing inflammation because of its intense laxative, astringent, purgative, and anti-oxidant effects.

  • Avoid it during pregnancy since it may diminish the production of breast milk.


HOW TO USE 
 

  • 1 tbsp haritaki powder + 4 tbsp coconut oil, heated on low heat for 5-10 minutes used to keep dandruff and lice at bay.
  • Haritaki powder, when combined with honey, treats cough, cold, sore throats and gingivitis.
  • Make a paste of Haritaki powder and hot water and apply it to acne and ulcers.
  • To cure indigestion, take haritaki powder with lukewarm water.
  • Haritaki powder roasted in ghee boosts immunity and enhances lifespan.
