SHORT DESCRIPTION

 

Fenugreek is a clover-like plant with several possible health benefits. Because of its somewhat sweet and nutty flavour, its seeds and powder are used as a spice all over the world. Fenugreek aids in Vata-Kapha balance. It is a legume plant with a maple-like flavour that has typically been used as a spice in Indian-style dishes.

  • Fenugreek may cause diarrhoea, nausea, and other digestive system problems, as well as dizziness and headaches in rare cases. 
  • Large dosages may result in an abrupt reduction in blood sugar. 
  • Some people may develop allergic responses to fenugreek.


HOW TO USE 
 

  • To control diabetes take 2 gm. Fenugreek powder with milk twice daily.
  • To increase lactation or mother’s milk,  take 5 gm. powder with milk and sugar in the morning.
  • Massage the scalp with fenugreek paste mixed in water half an hour before bathing to cure dandruff. Use soaked and meshed fenugreek seeds in coconut oil to form the paste. Methi paste can be used as a hair conditioner.
  • To cure general body aches, use 2 gm. powder mixed with 2 gm. Jeera powder with warm milk and sugar twice a day.
