SHORT DESCRIPTION
 

Jayphala, also known as Nutmeg, is a pulverised seed that is often used as a spice. Mace or Javitri is the fleshy red net-like skin cover on the seed kernel of Nutmeg, which is also used as a spice. Essential oils found in nutmeg and mace range from 7 to 14 per cent, with the main components being pinene, camphene, and dipentene.

PRECAUTIONS/ SIDE EFFECTS
 

  • Nutmeg should be consumed in modest doses since big amounts might produce nausea, dizziness, hallucinations and dry mouth condition.
  • Nutmeg may interact with medicines that are processed in the liver, as well as sedatives. As a result, if you are taking any medications, you should always check your doctor.


HOW TO USE 
 

  • To cure diarrhoea in children, sprinkle a pinch of jayphala powder or fruit rubbed on a clean area with milk or water 3-4 times per day.
  • If a child is irritated, agitated and restless, 1-2 pinches of powder mixed with milk help as a moderate sedative. This should be used 3-4 times each day.
  • Black pigmentation on the face is a typical complaint among women, particularly those approaching menopause. Jayphal, when rubbed in milk and applied to such regions, is beneficial.
  • If the pain is caused by diarrhoea, take 2 gm. powder with warm water 4-5 times a day. It lowers intestinal motility by alleviating discomfort.
  • Take 1-2 pinch of Nutmeg Powder and swallow it with honey preferably after meals to control intestinal gas.
