SHORT DESCRIPTION

Hibiscus has Pitta balancing and Kashaya (astringent) properties. The taste of hibiscus is sweet and astringent, with a cooling potency, or energetic effect on the body. These characteristics make it ideal for pitta and kapha doshas, but it can aggravate vata if used excessively.
